Crescendo - Annual Social Gathering

Every year the students of tirpude's DMSR organize a mega Youth Festival called Crescendo. This youth festival involves active participation from more than hundred local colleges which translates to approximately a mammoth gathering of 3000 people. We take pride in announcing that this is one of the most popular annual gathering organized by any Management College in Central India.

The best part is like true blue Management students they are the organizers and do not participate in the various events that are organized in the three days festival.

From conceptualization to execution of each and every event is taken care of by the students. They form various groups and committees to ensure that each event is successfully executed. This fosters organizing capabilities like planning, coordinating, effective delegating and enhances skills like team building, communication and leadership.

The events calendar consists of a mix of cultural and academic competitions that brings out the latent talent in the youngsters. Crescendo encourages forth-healthy competition amongst participants and prepares them to face challenges in life.

TiRE - Tirpude's Industrial Readiness Exercise

TiRE (Tirpude's Industry Readiness Exercise) a week long workshops organized twice every year for making the students ready for the industry. A complete all encompassing workshop spanning e week gives the students specialized inputs in the areas of self-motivation, teamwork and enhancement of personal effectiveness. The students are coached to have realistic expectations from the job and the necessary skills of an ideal protégé are instilled in them. Even the nuance of personal grooming, fine dinning, and corporate etiquettes are inculcated in this workshop.

Erudition - Paper Presentation

A National level Paper Presentation by the name Erudition is conducted every year in the college campus based on the burning issues of Management.

Students from all over the country actively participate and compete in Erudition. The paper presentations are categorized on the burning issues of Management from the fields of marketing, human resources, finance and information technology and are coupled with presentations from eminent guest speakers who give inputs on the latest trends and development in the field of management and allied areas.

Work Assignments

The students are given small work assignments off college hours which could be for 3-4 days or a week/fortnight in which they are associated with various companies and corporate houses. These assignments are generally part time projects which they have to execute and thus test their market awareness and academic knowledge. This constitutes of a Sales promotional activity and event management or an advertisement campaign.

Work Project

It’s imperative for the students to take up an industrial training or project for a long duration of about 2-3 months where the student learns the intricacies of the workplace by actually working there. This exposes them to organizational policies and procedures thus fortifying them with the requisite mental make-up to handle the future challenges in the workplace.

Industrial visit

The students are supposed to go for an industrial visit every year, which spans from 15-30 days anywhere in India for practical exposure of Industries, which is also coupled with fun, and frolic where the students are taught how to live and work in a group or a team.

Guest Lectures / Seminars

An interaction with a community of leading business thinkers and accomplished executives to open new ideas and opportunities. Every weekend we have a guest lecture by an eminent personality who talks about a particular industry or a company and the career opportunities available.

Case Studies

We strongly believe that case studies helps learn the skills to operationalize knowledge, to translate concepts into capabilities and make things happen effectively in varied environments. Case studies are always discussed at subject level which is coordinated by respective faculties and subject teachers to solve a practical problems of industry.

Alumni

The college has alumni of about 600 students till date who are placed at various companies across the country. The college organizes regular alumni meets to keep in touch with the ex-students and interact to gain and share their individual experiences, which is a major source of support and goodwill for the institution. The sense of belonging to the alma mater is strengthened by such get together.

Group Discussions and Debates

We have instituted a group discussion club, which initiates Group Discussion on various academic and general topics. Matters discussed are generally of topical, social and philosophical relevance. This is to improve their confidence, public speaking skills and convincing abilities. This exercise also gives them a multifaceted view of various current topics and trends.
